Alchemy Use Alchemy to turn picked plants into reagents. Alchemy is mainly used to create a variety of bottled effects ranging from cures to explosions. A few heal potions in your backpack is considered essential. Alchemist No None
Blacksmithing Blacksmithy is used for repairing and crafting armour and weapons by a forge and anvil. Blacksmiths work with ingots, so be sure to have plenty of them to make items. Blacksmithing No None
Carpentry Carpentry is the art of Woodworking. Many different wooden tools and items can be made using this skill. You can buy most of the tools used for Carpentry from the guildmaster, but they can also be made using Tinkering. Runes are something that you'll want to have if you want to move quickly from one town to another. Woodworking (Carpentry) No None
Cooking Cooking is a good skill for raising Dexterity and Intelligence. It goes up quite quickly too. It is also a real life skill, which can truly help you in the game. An oven is a must have component for a chef. Choose from over 100 recipes. Cooking No None
Inscription Inscription is the trade of making scrolls that flow with magical energy. These scrolls can be made and put into a spell book for mages to use. Scrolls use up no reagents, which is good if you haven't many. It would be wise to carry around some if you're low on reagents. Scrolls also cast much faster than a spellbook, so a lot of mages prefer to own a lot of scrolls. Scribe No None
Tailoring Tailoring is a good skill to have so you can make bags and pouches. You can also make fancy clothing to be worn in town. When you're skill is high enough and you have the correct strength requirement, it would be wise to create some leather and studded armour. You can also make some decorative items when used with Carpentry (e.g. Training Dummy). Tailoring No None
Tinkering Tinkering can be used to create tools used for carpentry and kitchenware. You can also make lock picks, clocks and barrel parts. Jewellery can be made too. For the full list of items that can be made, have a look at the Data Tables. Tinkering No None
