Animal Taming To tame a creature walk up to it, use your Animal Taming skill and target the creature.
Not all creatures of the realm can be tamed. Of those that can be tamed, some are easier than others.
Be sure to feed your creature once it is tamed.
Animal Lore gives you a greater understanding of the creature you are trying to tame.
It doesn't increase your chance of taming the creature.
Although, it does increase your chance of not angering it.
See the bestiary for taming skill required and if the animal can be tamed

Farming Farming skill is used to pick crops, clean reagent and harvest honey Cooking Yes None
Fishing Fishing is needed for Trawling for monsters, fishing for fish,
and fishing for MiB's (message in bottles).
Cooking Yes None
Herding The herding skill is used when you want to move an animal from one place to another.
Unlike the tame skill you do not have to release the animal.
Other players cannot herd or tame that animal for 2 days
Woodsman No None
Lumberjacking Lumberjacking is needed to chop logs and use the sawmill. Carpentry

Mining Using a pick or shovel in a cave, dungeon or mountainside will allow you to start collecting ore.
You can mine many different things. You just need to know where to look.
Sand can be mined at beaches, clay can be mined at swamps,
ore can be mined in dungeons or mountains and coaltar can be mined in a jungle.
